Ingredients

  • Dipping Sauce
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • Pot Stickers
  • 4 MorningStar Farms® Original Sausage Patties
  • 5 teaspoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrot)
  • 1 egg white, slightly beaten
  • 20 (3 inch) wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup water, divided

Directions

1. In small bowl whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and red pepper. Set aside.

2. Place MORNINGSTAR FARMS® Original Sausage Patties on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave at medium (50% power) about 2 minutes or until thawed, turning patties over once halfway through. Finely chop patties. Set aside.

3. In large nonstick skillet heat 1 teaspoon of the oil over medium heat. Cook onion, ginger and garlic in oil about 2 minutes or until tender. Stir in coleslaw mix. Cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes more or until cabbage begins to soften. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. In medium bowl combine egg white, sausage patty pieces and cabbage mixture.

4. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick foil. For each pot sticker, spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cabbage mixture onto center of one wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water. Diagonally fold in half over filling. Firmly pinch edges together to seal. Place pot sticker, sealed edges up, on prepared baking sheet, pressing gently to slightly flatten bottom. Repeat with the remaining wonton wrappers and cabbage mixture.

5. Wipe skillet, used to cook cabbage mixture, out with paper towels. In same skillet heat 2 teaspoons of the remaining oil. Add half of the pot stickers, sealed sides up, making sure they do not touch. Cook, over medium-high heat, for 1 to 2 minutes or until bottoms are brown. Reduce heat. Carefully add 1/2 cup of the water. Cook, covered, for 1 minute. Remove lid. Continue cooking for 3 to 4 minutes more or until water evaporates. Remove pot stickers from skillet. Keep warm. Repeat with remaining oil, pot stickers and water.

6. Serve warm pot stickers with dipping sauce.
