All of our breaded Chik'n and Veggitizer items taste great when prepared in an air fryer. Check the package you purchased for our recommended methods and heat times. The preparation methods listed on the package are the ones we've tested and verified. If your favorite method is not listed, check your appliance manufacturer's manual for guidance.
All of our MorningStar Farms® foods should be kept frozen until ready to use. Partial thawing and refreezing may affect the taste and texture, but the food will be safe to eat if held at 40°F or below. Incogmeato® burgers, ground and sausages are distributed frozen and can be kept in the refrigerator up to 10 days. If your grocery store is selling Incogmeato® foods in the refrigerated section, be sure to look for the Best If Used By Date applied by the store.
We are proud to share that MorningStar Farms® and Incogmeato® foods are made in facilities located in the U.S.A.
NUTRITION
All of our Incogmeato® branded foods are vegan. Many of our Morningstar Farms® foods are vegan or in the process of becoming vegan. Be sure to look for the Plant Based Food Association (PBFA) logo or the word VEGAN on the package you purchase.
Most of our foods are Kosher. If a product is Kosher certified, the packaging will contain a symbol as designated by the Rabbinical Council that certified the product. Over time, Kosher certifications may change, so the best way to determine a product's Kosher status is to look at the package. If an item is not Kosher, it may be processed on a shared line with non-Kosher foods.
MorningStar Farms® and Incogmeato® foods are not gluten free. Always refer to the ingredient list on your package for information on the product you have purchased.
No meat ingredients are included in any MorningStar Farms® or Incogmeato® foods.
We do not add MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) to any of our foods, although there may be ingredients that naturally contain MSG.
On a food label, there are two ways to see how much protein you are getting:
GRAMS OF PROTEIN:
This tells you how many grams of protein are in the food and is required on labels. It doesn’t tell you whether the protein in the food contains all of the essential amino acids to be considered a complete source.
% DAILY VALUE:
The % daily value is based on the amino acid content and reflects the amount of complete protein in the product. The % daily value allows you to better understand the quality of the protein in the food. If a product has 10% of the daily value, it is considered a good source of protein. If a product has 20% of the daily value, it is considered an excellent source of protein.
Listing the %DV on the nutrition label is only required when protein is mentioned somewhere else on the package, so you may not see it on every label.
PACKAGING
We print a "Best If Used By" date on each package to indicate the date that we guarantee the freshness and quality of our food. The product is still safe to eat after that date, but you might notice a change in texture or flavor. The product's "Best If Used By" date is printed as a series of letters and numbers showing the "Best If Used By" date as well as information about where it was made and when. If your grocery store is selling Incogmeato® foods in the refrigerated section, be sure to look for the Best If Used By Date applied by the store.
