Ingredients
- 1 bag MorningStar Farms® Grillers Crumbles
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 8 ounce canned tomato sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 12 ounce Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 count)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chopped dried parsley
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
1. In a non-stick medium sauté pan, add oil and sauté onions, garlic, and green pepper. Stir in the remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350° and slice the Hawaiian rolls in half with a large, sharp knife. Place the bottoms of the rolls on a sheet pan or baking dish sprayed with cooking spray and layer with the sloppy joe mixture.
2. Melt four tablespoons of butter and stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, and chopped parsley with the melted butter. Brush the butter mixture on top of the Hawaiian rolls and place the Hawaiian roll tops on top of the half sliders. Bake for 10 minutes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Optional: Add sliced cheese to the bread and the sloppy joe mixture for a gooey, melty layer.
