Morningstar Farms® One-Pan Veggie Chili Cheese Dog Boats

Featuring veggie dogs in garlic-buttered buns topped with vegetarian chili, gooey cheddar and Colby jack cheese. Ready to eat in just 15 minutes, these veggie chili cheese dogs are a quick and easy meal. Top with green onions for a finishing touch and savor every bite!
Ingredients
- 6 Morningstar Farms® Veggie Dogs
- 6 Hot Dog Buns
- 15 oz Vegetarian Chili, canned
- 3 Tbsp Butter, unsalted
- 1 Tbsp minced Garlic
- 6 slices thin Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
- 2 Tbsp sliced Green Onions
Directions
1. Prepare Morningstar Farms® Veggie Dogs according to the package directions. Sear the dogs for 3 minutes, remove them from the heat, and set them aside.
2. Lay the hot dog buns flat in a 9x13 baking dish. Using a small knife, cut a rectangular shape and push the bread down, creating a pocket. Repeat with the rest. Melt the unsalted butter and minced garlic in the microwave for 1 minute. Spread the butter-garlic mixture onto the prepared hot dog buns. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. Add 1 slice of cheddar cheese to the pocket, followed by the veggie dog. Repeat. Add 3 tablespoons of vegetarian chili on top of each hot dog, followed by shredded cheese. Place the veggie dogs uncovered in the oven for 7 minutes. Garnish with green onion. Enjoy!
