Mediterranean Pita Sandwich
A quick and easy pita sandwich recipe starts with a whole wheat pita stuffed with fresh vegetables and MorningStar Farms® Mediterranean Chickpea Burgers.
- 1 Morningstar Farms® Mediterranean Chickpea Burger
- 3 tablespoons spinach-and-artichoke hummus
- 1/2 (7-inch) whole wheat pita bread round, warmed
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1/2 large Roma tomato, thinly sliced (about 1/3 cup)
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced cucumber
1. Prepare MORNINGSTAR FARMS Mediterranean Chickpea Burger according to package directions. Cut in half.
2. Meanwhile, spread hummus inside of pita pocket. Sprinkle lemon juice on hummus. Place lettuce, burger pieces, tomato and cucumber in pocket. Serve immediately.
